Our Mushrooms

Mycoterra Farm mushrooms are grown using small batch production methods under carefully controlled conditions that mimic their natural environment. We use organic substrates free from harmful chemicals ensuring our products are not just healthy but also safe for consumption.

Our mushrooms are harvested at their peak ripeness ensuring maximum flavor development before being handpicked by experienced growers who take pride in delivering quality produce every time. We guarantee that our mushrooms match up to their wild counterparts in terms of flavor intensity while remaining fresh longer due to careful cultivation process.

Oyster Mushrooms 

Oyster Mushrooms are perhaps one of the most widely consumed mushrooms worldwide.  Mycoterra Farm produces several different species of oyster mushrooms including Blue Oyster, Pink Oyster, Yellow Oyster, and the hybrid “black pearl oyster”.

Our Oyster mushrooms are grown on hardwood sawdust supplemented with organic soy hulls. Our selection varies with the seasons, with pink, yellow, and phoenix oysters flourishing in the summer months, and the blue, black pearl, and “snow white” oyster dominating winter production.  

Blue Oyster

Mushroom farming is year round at Mycoterra, but the fungi are an important aspect of our seasonal produce production. We have shiitake blocks used as mulch for our tomatoes with a cover crop of mustard greens; zucchini and potatoes are thriving in super sacks of compost; wine caps popping up in our strawberry beds; mushroom compost in our no-till beds; and a canoosery of starts from Windy Ridge Farm still to be planted.
